LÉA THOMEN - is a french performer, choreographer and artist, based in Switzerland. After obtaining the State Diploma of Dance teacher in Contemporary Dance (ISDAT - Toulouse), she joined the Folkwang University of the Arts of Essen in Master of Arts - Composition and Interpretation - with the support of the DAAD grant.
She has worked with many choreographers such as Henrietta Horn, Urs Dietrich, Mark Sieczkarek, Vanessa Voskuil & Jesse Zaritt (ADF 2013), Peter Chu (Kidd Pivot) & Sarah Lisette Chiesa (ShenWei) at Springboard Danse Montréal 2014. In April 2014, she created the "Compagnie HorizonVertical" in France. Her artistic work draws its inspiration from the exchange between cultures, arts and artists from all backgrounds.
She received the "Förderpreis Choreografie" Prize from the TanzPlan Ost 2018 Festival and la Société Suisse des Auteurs (SSA) for the play "Nachtfeder", produced in collaboration with Linda Pilar Brodhag. In May 2019, she launched the Atelier Tanz Thurgau #1 project with Mirjam Bührer in collaboration with Eisenwerk, Frauenfeld and the Phönix Theater, Steckborn.
In order to make its projects sustainable, she officially registered the Compagnie HorizonVertical in Weinfelden, Switzerland (TG) in 2019.
